The Pre War Garage.

http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/attractions/national-motor-museum

These following Images are taken from inside the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and in particular this wonderfull recreation of a Pre War 1930s Garage. The attention to authenticity  on this exhibition was excellent and  I ended up spending a  a long time  studying all the interior and exterior details from various angles. It had been a long time since last visiting the Museum and was very pleased that it still retains such high standards
complete with the super friendly and informative staff.

A Note on Experimentation.

Saturday saw us  in the vicinity of the Coventry Transport Museum to look and admire some of the Heritage Buses being used on the streets of Coventry. While inside I thought it would be interesting to borrow my Friend's
Camera Phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note. Anyway I thought the Note had a great viewing screen allowing
more careful and considered composition of the subject. I also thought it coped quiet well with some of the close up work.

This shows the Headstock design  of an early Humber Bicycle.

The Chain wheel of a  BSA  Para Bike.

Beautiful patination on Rover Motor Cycle, I just love the circular painted  ' coach ' lines
on the side of the tank. Probably applied  with a skillful flourish  of the wrist.

The VMCC 2012 Relay Rally

I started out early for this years Relay Rally, riding my 1927 AJS Side Valve Motor Cycle. Heading for my first check point of the day at the Red Lion at Bloxham. Leaving my home in Leamington and arriving in Bloxham via  Gaydon, Edge Hill, Shutford and Lower Tadmarton allowed me to ride through some very pretty villages while the roads were nice and quiet . This very nice AFS ( Auxillary Fire Service )  Matchless was just one of the early arrivals on the outskirts of Banbury.

This lovely Triumph and its proud rider just arriving  for signing on at the Banbury Section checkpoint. After a well earned cup of Coffee and a Bacon roll it was onto my next destination at the Flat Tank Section check point in Gloucestershire.

My second destination of the day. The checkpoint of the Flat Tank Section which  is always good for friendly banter, interesting vehicles and a good cup of Tea.

Getting ready for the off, a group of riders prepare  to hit the road in search of their next checkpoint.
