This is the James Starley memorial which stands in Warwick Green ( Warwick Row ) Coventry. Starley has been described as the ' Father of the Cycle Industry ' and an inscription on the memorial describes him as the 'Inventor of the Bicycle1870'
He is also credited as the inventor of the chain-drive(open) differential.
